Speaches
After the meal came the speaches. Each of the 3 men doing their bit did an excellent job. Shame the same couldn't be said about the bride, the best man decided to spring a surprise twist to the end of his speach by asking the bride to talk. My speach was terrible, I compleatly forgot to even mention my new husband - oops!
Wez's Speech
Many couples say that their wedding day is the best day of their lives. But not us. That day happened four and a half years ago when our daughter Elizabeth was born.
(Pause)
Now, before I start, the hotel manger has asked me to request that, for reasons of health and safety, none of you get up on top of the tables and chairs during my standing ovation!
I'd like to start by thanking Gary for his kind words. I hope that, as Vicky's husband, I can live up to the image he painted of me or, failing that, at least continue to keep pulling the wool over his eyes! I'd also like to thank everyone for coming; we know for some of you it wasn't easy, so thank you.
In preparation for this moment, I've been trying hard to come up with something original that would sum up everything that I feel about Vicky, and how much this day means to me. But nothing quite expresses what I wanted to say, so let me keep it old-fashioned and say, in front of all our family and friends: 'Victoria, I love you'.
And now onto our parents.
I'd like to congratulate you on raising such an excellent, handsome and over performing son, without whom this day wouldn't be possible. But seriously, this bouquet of flowers is to thank my brilliant mum. My next bouquet of thanks goes to Vicky's wonderful Mum, Ann. Firstly, I'd like to thank her for having Vicky, and secondly for letting me have her. I'm grateful to you both for welcoming me from the start. Now, I'd like you all to raise your glasses in a toast to our parents, Ann, Gary, Margaret and Bill, and also to Mike, for helping us make this an amazing day!

I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank my brother, Carl, for being best man, every groom needs one and I have to say I think I choose the best that said I may have to take that back once he's finished his speech!
Big thanks also go to the ushers; Mike and Michael. Cheers guys for a brilliant job! Another thank you goes to Thomas, our pageboy you've been fantastic today.
Lastly, we want to say a very, very big thank you to those terrific young ladies who really are the most beautiful in the room next to my bride my mother and of course my mother-in-law. Elizabeth, Laura, Jenny, Diane and Alex, we have a gift for each of you, but in the meanwhile would you all please raise your glasses in a toast to - the bridesmaids!

I'd like to start by thanking Wez for finally admitting that I am the BEST MAN!
A lot of us have been waiting for today for a long time Wez & Vick a lot more than any of us and now the big part is done you're a married couple! I'm gonna congrat u Vick on sticking Wez 4 this long ur a lot braver than any of us especially as you've just signed up 4 a life sentence.
Jokes aside I'd like to welcome Vicky into our family. And I'm sure you've all noticed how stunning she looks today well-done Wez ur a lucky man!
Also I'd like to compliment the bridesmaids on how lovely they look today. Ann & Gary u must be proud. Well done girls you've done a brilliant job so lets all thank them by raising our glass- To the Bridesmaids!
We've all seen Wez in a mess after parties or the football. He's usually the one running into doors or collapsed on the floor totally plastered! But lets hope he controls himself a bit tonight coz we all know what he's like! Once he's dancing it's like his driving all over the place and bumping into everything.
More seriously thanks Wez for giving me the honour of being bestman! Honestly I couldn't be more prouder of you today. You couldn't have chose a nicer bride and you have lovely Beth and pretty sure there will be more on the way. There's no stopping u Wez.
Finally I'd like to wish the happy couple many long and happy years together - Wez & Vicky
